Outdoor Learning (e.g. Forest School) Kit

• Long trousers (tracksuit or leggings, not jeans - old clothes)

• Long-sleeved top (old clothes)

• Long socks (so that ankles do not get scratched or stung)

• Boots or sturdy shoes (Wellington boots, sturdy trainers or walking boots)

• Waterproof coat

• Gloves & hat

• All of the above is compulsory when doing Forest Schools, school can support with old clothes if needed

Additional uniform expectations

Pupils are expected to tie back long hair for specific lessons such as PE, Forest School and science; please ensure that your child wears plain, functional, safe and sensible hair accessories - no cat’s ears or unicorn horns, please, as this can provide additional hazards in the playground and be a distraction from learning. We ask for hair accessories to be black, blue, grey or white.

Nail varnish, nail gel and extensions, tattoos (including temporary tattoos) or any form of make-up should not be worn. Jewellery should be limited to watches, stud earrings and for religious observance.

Skinny trousers, leggings, jeans, trousers, shorts or skirts made of any kind of denim or denim look-alike are not considered to be school uniform.  Short skirts and short shorts are also not appropriate.
